Examination and Test

If the conformity with the technical regulations is not clear from the submitted documents, TELEC may request applicants to submit the additional documents and/or to submit applied equipment in some cases.

  1. Examination of type specifications
    There are five kinds of type specification forms depending on the classifications of specified radio equipment. TELEC examines submitted type specifications, system diagrams, attached documents related to the design and etc. to judge whether the construction design of the specified radio equipment conforms to the technical standards.

  2. Examination by comparison check

    1. For application by submitting radio equipment
      T ELEC conducts comparison check as the examination of identity between "the submitted equipment" and "the descriptions in submitted documents" or between "the type specifications and system diagrams" and "the pictures or drawings showing component layout and external appearance".

    2. For application by not submitting radio equipment
      TELEC conducts comparison check as the examination of identity between "the type specifications and system diagrams" and "the pictures or drawings showing component layout and external appearance".

  3. Characteristic test

    1. For application by submitting radio equipment
      Characteristic test is conducted to judge whether the characteristics of radio equipment conforms to the technical standards.

    2. For application by not submitting radio equipment
      TELEC examines the descriptions in the notice of recognized test results whether they conform to the technical standards.

  4. Examination of agreement of specified radio equipment

    1. For application by submitting radio equipment
      From submitted statement of confirmation method, type specifications, attached documents related to the design and test results, TELEC examines whether it is ensured that all equipments manufactured according to the type specifications agree with the applied type specifications.

    2. For application by not submitting radio equipment
      From submitted statement of confirmation method, type specifications, attached documents related to the design, notice of recognized test results, and pictures or drawings showing component layout and external appearance, TELEC examines whether it is ensured that all equipments manufactured according to the type specifications agree with the applied type specifications.
