Examination and Test
If the conformity with the technical regulations is not clear from the submitted
documents, TELEC may request applicants to submit the additional documents.
- Examination for application by submitting radio equipment
- Examination of type specifications
There are five kinds of type specification forms depending on the
classifications of specified radio equipment. TELEC examines submitted
type specifications and attached system diagrams to judge whether
the descriptions in the documents conform to the requirements of
the Radio Law.
- Examination by comparison check
TELEC conducts comparison check as the examination of identity between
the submitted equipment and the descriptions in submitted documents,
including the conformity with the Radio Law.
- Characteristic test
Characteristic test is conducted on the test items shown in the "Test Items" with the test conditions shown in the "Test Conditions" by supplying a rated supply voltage to the applied equipment under the ordinary temperature (20º ±15º) and humidity (relative humidity 60% ±25%) to test the conformity with the relevant technical regulations.
- Examination for application by not submitting radio equipment
- Examination of type specifications
Required type specification forms are different depending on the
classifications of specified radio equipment. TELEC examines submitted
type specifications and attached system diagrams to judge whether
the descriptions in the documents conform to the requirements of
the Radio Law.
- Examination by comparison check
TELEC conducts comparison check as the examination of identity between
"the pictures or drawings showing component layout and external
appearance" and "the type specifications and the attached system
diagrams". At the same time TELEC examines the documents regarding
the conformity with the Radio Law.
- Examination of "notice of recognized test results"
TELEC examines;
(a) whether the test items and the test results conform with
the technical standards,
(b) whether proper measuring instruments have been used for characteristic
test and the measuring instruments have properly been calibrated,
and
(c) whether the business category of recognized private inspector
who has conducted the test is proper.
