TELEC carries out the test of ISM (Industrial,Sientific and Medical equipment) equipments such as electromagnetic cooking ranges,ultrasonic cleaners,etc.,and besides does the measurement of interference field strength emitted from ITE (Information Technology Equipment) by using open test site,anechoic room and conductive interference measurement room.
These facilities are located at Head office and Matsudo Laboratory, but functions are concentrated at Matsudo Laboratory. Those facilities are opened to the public.

TELEC carries out the conformance test for terminal equipments such as PHS and various pager.
This service is to confirm the air interface between terminal equipments and base stations. TELEC dose this test as a public,neutral organization in place of carriers because terminal equipments became to be sold to end users directly.
Terminals which pass the conformance test are allowed to indicate in a catalogue or explanatory note that the designated terminal has passed the TELEC conformance test.
